Governors

Bungay High School is owned and controlled by the East Anglian Schools Trust, Queens Road, Bungay, Suffolk NR35 1RW.  Tel: 01986 892140.

Its Governors are appointed by one of:

• The members of the Multi Academy Trust
• Parents
• Staff
• Local Authority
• Co-opted by existing Governors.

The Governing Body work with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure each student receives the best possible education.

Governors provide both support and challenge to hold the school to account; their responsibilities include:

• Setting the school's aims and values
• Planning the school's long-term future
• Budgetary allocation and control
• Promoting high standards of education and achievement
• Appointing the Headteacher and senior staff

The day to day management of the school is the responsibility of the Headteacher.
